Founded by actor/writer/director Toni Griffiths and writer/performer/director John Edgar, Pro-Actors is a training and professional development resource providing creative services to industry, local government and the service sectors.
Public service clients with whom we have worked include education authorities, Social Services departments, Health Services, Prisons and Young Offender programmes, and Local Government departments.
Our associate artists include actors, facilitators, visual artists and film-makers, and are specifically chosen because of their experience in the public/corporate arts training fields.
We are about empowerment, motivation, teamwork, problem solving and development of communication skills. We create workshops and training programmes tailored specifically to your organisation's needs.
We can respond immediately to your suggestions to create characters and situations in which staff can safely explore strategies for dealing with potentially tricky encounters. You just tell us what you want and we can deliver it.
Our programmes provide potential experiential opportunities for staff to develop their skills in a number of areas:
- team building and collective decision-making;
- dealing with customers;
- problem solving;
- conflict resolution;
- managing meetings;
- presentations;
- clear and effective communication.
As drama and communication practitioners with many years experience, we can also advise on personal presentation and communication skills.
