Toni Griffiths

Toni Griffiths co founder of Pro ActorsToni Griffiths has been professionally involved in theatre and drama since graduating with a first class honours degree from university in 1999. She has worked extensively as an actor, director (theatre and film), writer, workshop leader and costume maker for a range of theatre companies across the UK and beyond.

She has led workshops and training programmes for local authorities, the prison service and a number of large corporations. Other work has included everything from Shakespeare to contemporary drama in a range of theatre and non-theatre venues, including theatre-in-education programmes for schools across the age ranges.

Toni has also been a visiting lecturer in both universities and colleges of further education. In the little time she has left she also manages to work as a street theatre performer.

John Edgar

John Edgar co founder of Pro ActorsJohn Edgar has been entertaining audiences in a variety of guises – actor, writer, stand-up cabaret performer, musician and storyteller – since 1975. His theatre work has included repertory, theatre-in-education, young people’s drama and community theatre. Writing credits include plays for professional theatre companies, the BBC, corporate commissions and young people’s theatre. He has also been a visiting lecturer at the University of Wolverhampton and colleges of Further Education.

An internationally acclaimed storyteller, John tells tales from all over the world in theatres, arts centres, festivals, schools and the open air in the UK and Europe.

John has devised and led many training programmes for local authorities, the health service (both staff and service users), youth justice and community organisations. An accomplished musician, he is sometimes to be seen strumming his guitar and playing blues harmonica both solo and as a member of a local ceilidh band.
